Position Summary
At Schrader & Company Construction Services, our carpenters are the backbone of every project. Working alongside the Project Manager, you’ll help deliver exceptional craftsmanship, maintain safe and organized job sites, and ensure every client receives the highest level of quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and installation work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, countertops, and other finish materials.
- Measure, cut, and install building materials accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain company equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Follow residential building codes and company quality standards.
- Assist with coordinating daily job site activities and support project completion on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–4 years of residential carpentry experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
