A post on Better Homes and Gardens caught our attention and we thought we’d throw in our two cents. The topic- timeless kitchen trends, it almost sounds like an oxymoron, but they can indeed exist. Now, we don’t agree with every trend mentioned in the BHG blog, but we did sort out our top 6 timeless kitchen trends from their list.

 

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel has been around so long can it even be considered a trend? We know that not everyone is a fan of this kind of finish, but it doesn’t look like it is going to go away anytime soon. Stainless steel offers a sleek and modern look to any kitchen.

Granite can be such a hassle to maintain, why not go with a beautiful Quartz counter top instead. Quartz comes in a variety of different color options and is one of the most durable materials available.

We wrote about these before, and we are still in love with big drawers. Why go searching through cabinets for your cookware when you can pull out a nice big drawer and have whatever you need right at your fingertips?

Open shelving will give your kitchen a bright and airy feel. Similar to big drawers, open shelving allows you to see exactly what you have on hand and allows you to play with your storage space, something that can’t really be said of traditional closed cabinets.

Formal kitchens and dining rooms are not really all that in demand, open layouts are where it’s at. The kitchen is no longer just another room in your house, it is an integral part of your living space that is cozy and fosters togetherness.
